On my last post, Sprite-harvester asked me what the origin of my last name was. And then it hit me:

Not many of you guys know much about me. And I was like:

WTF?!

So... I guess I could summarize myself for you all. That way you get to know me a little better!

Anyways... My full name is Adam Wayne Hockenberry. (Oh, the name originates from German and Dutch.) I have red hair and brown eyes, I'm about 5' 11'', and weigh 120 lbs after a good meal. I'll be turning 20 on january 26th. I was born in California, and when I was about two months old, my family moved to Atlanta, Georgia. Thats where my two siblings were born. I have a sister, Andrea, and a brother, Shawn. NONE OF US LOOK ALIKE. Well, when I was about 8, we moved back to California.

When my brother got old enough, we used to play fantasy games out in the backyard. Mostly Final Fantasy... Things like that, with wooden swords we made ourselves. Great times... -sigh- I have always been very imaginative... But I never had any other outlet for it. During my sophmore year, I started learning how to draw, but I didn't have much time for it, between being in plays and golf. At the later half of my junior year of high school, I started my comic, Life Crystals. Thats when I started drawing a lot. I had written over 400 pages in half a semester. However, I didn't draw very much during senior year... Thats when I started learning how to make games with a program called GameMaker. All throughout high school, I could never make up my mind what I wanted to be when I got older... A game designer, a graphic designer, a vet... I just didn't know what would make me happy.

Then college started. I picked drawing back up and noticed my skills had GREATLY improved over the year I DIDN'T draw. During one of my breaks in between semesters, I was finally hit with my future career: I wanted to be a chef. No joke. I LOVE cooking. It makes me happy. I'm a guy who likes working with his hands, and creating food almost like art. Plus, other people enjoy the product of my work, which is what I strive for in almost EVERYTHING I do.

I only recently started being active on Newgrounds, and thats where I met Joseph. Then, things spiralled from there. And this is where we are now.

...And so life resumes its normal ways. I drove out to Riverside and picked my girlfriend up from the train station. So she's home now.

I drew a few more pictures for the art gallery. How many pictures should I put in? I don't want to put only a few, cuz that would be lame. But if I put in, like, 50 images, that'd be overkill on my part.

So I got my first scout today! w00t w00t! (I owe you that image still, you know who you are. Its my next image). I should really sit down and ACTUALLY attempt making my art look nice, instead of being a lazy ass. Eh heh heh...

Oh! With my next paycheck, I'm gonna buy myself a WACOM pen tablet! And I get my paycheck on my birthday! So I shall wish myself a happy birthday by buying myself a little somethin' somethin'. (If I ever say that again, shoot me, please.)

Bleh... I need to stop playing xbox live at 2 in the morning... I think its bed time for me now. I'm not gonna be at my computer tomorrow night, so don't wait up. Later.

SO! Other than the backgrounds, the dress-up/down part of the game is done! YES!!! However, I am still crankin' out those doodles for the art gallery. And then I have to finish the extra, secret ending. So I'm excited.

It is now 4:31 in the morning. I haven't gone to bed yet today. Well... I had a three hour nap, but that was to make up for LAST night. I'm supposed to go pick up my girlfriend from the train station. However, she never told me WHAT time she was arriving. And it seems her phone has died. Hmm.

Anyways, thanks for being patient with my slow ass. I'm sure you won't be disappointed with my game. OH, before I forget. You guys need to try Jones Soda Co. carbonated candies. Freakin' delicious. Bit of advertisement there...

I'm losing momentum, people. Drawing all the clothes pieces is getting reeeeeally hard. I'm so close, but this last stretch (well, for the clothes part) is giving me some trouble. I need a good kick in the ass! ARGH! I've posted two more images so you can get a better look at my game. (I need to stop posting images, I'm running out of outfits) Anyways, I'm working on it right now as Halo 2 downloads the new maps...

I've started the image gallery for the game, however, I'm running out of ideas for that too. I was thinking of adding a mini-comic in the gallery. Also, the game still needs work. I haven't really messed with it though... Music? I've got a few songs. Backgrounds? Not many... Extra? Damn, I have a lot of work...

Oh well. Wish me luck, give me some motivation... SOMETHING!

Yeah, things are moving a little slower than usual. Because of the increase of hours at work, I have less time to animate. Also, I have to pick my girlfriend up on monday, and production will probably slow even more after that... And I'm running out of clothes ideas, and end up staring at the screen for a long time before getting an idea. BUT I'm still trying! And it gets closer and closer to completion every day. Anyways...

I haven't made a post in a few days, and just wanted to tell you guys whats up. So yeah. I should probably get back to work before I have to go to Taco Bell... Bleeeeeeeh...

So I've started animating Self-Identified. Its going alright. I'm very picky, and its slowing me down. (Just two more weeks until my AWESOME paycheck... New video card and Pen Tablet!) I've been SO productive in what little free time I have. My manager called and added 14 and a half extra hours onto my schedule, so I'm working almost everyday now. Collectively, thats... Almost 40 hours! And with how much per hour... Thats... 320 dollars before taxes! Whoa! Pretty good, considering I'm a full time student AND am working at Taco Bell... -.-'

So I've been hard at work with Dress Up Vivian version 2. I think this one is going to impress you (well, compared to the last one...). I have a ton of new outfits, and am, at this very moment, making more! So now, instead of three or four choices, you'll have about 15 for each piece of clothes. 15 pieces! I don't know if I'm going to add the pose change just yet. I think I'll wait for version 3.

Oh, and because so many people bugged me about it... YES, you can fully undress her. Happy now? No wait... You haven't played it yet. It took me like 45 minutes to get the nipples right. So for those of you who look down on me for doing this: I'm sorry. But the general public demanded this and I caved. To those of you who are happy I did this: Thanks alot. Because of you, I slaved over two nipples for almost an hour!

I'm adding a photo gallery into the mix too. However, you have to play a mini game to unlock it. I need suggestions for the game. I was gonna do a quiz, but from what I've heard, not a lot of people like those... So I'm still open for suggestions, all around. For clothes, music, etc. etc. et to the effing c.

I'm also starting a small video, thats just random and stupid. Its titled "Cat Tit Bingo" (you can thank Joseph for that one). Its about a man, Tim Blankenson, whos ham sandwhich was stolen by an alien race, and to get it back, he is transported to a galaxy far away, where he must win a game of Cat Tit Bingo to get it back. Will he get it back? Why is he going through all of this for a ham sandwhich? Why is the game called Cat Tit Bingo? WHO KNOWS???

Oh, one last thing. Today has had to have been the nastiest day at work, EVAR. My manager told me the men's toilet was backed up, and handed me a plunger... Ew... So, I'm plunging away, and it finally comes free: A turd sphere almost the same size as a tennis ball. CANNOT UNSEE.

So I made my first flash-based game! Wow! Great for me, right? Yeah, its a dress-up game. So sue me. They are very easy to make, and great for a beginner. So don't be an ass about it, please.

Anyways, I hope you've tried it! I'm quite proud of it. It stars Vivian, a character from my comic book series, and she has a cameo in mine and Joseph's new story, Self-Identified.

And to tell you the truth, I started it last night about 12, working until 2:30am. Then I put the finishing touches this morning before work... Yeah, its rushed. Want to fight about it?

But HUZZAH!!! I'm already starting version 2! A screenshot is below. I still need to add the background...

New features:
-drop down menues, so there is more room for Vivian
-stage size is bigger, meaning all the images are, too! (now you can see her tongue piercing, in case none of you saw that)
-more music, clothes, accessories, and expressions
-outfits! (it changes her into a costume. I need ideas. I was gonna do some Soul Calibur girls, if you have some, thrown them my way)
-more poses!
-changeable background

And possibly:
-changeable hair styles

Anyways, thats what version 2 will have. So keep an eye out!
